SU junior Daniel Pribula helped the outdoor track & field team to a fifth-place finish at the Terrapin Inviational on April 1. He took second place in both the shot put (16.08m) and the discus (45.26m). Pribula also placed eighth in the hammer throw (46.69m) at the meet.
He owns the third-best throw in the shot put by a BIG EAST competitor in the outdoor season with a toss of 16.23m to take second at the Carolina Fast Times on April 15. He has competed at three meets in the shot put, discus and hammer throw and has placed in the top 10 eight times.
Pribula has already qualified for the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship in the shot, hammer and discus and the IC4A Outdoor Championship in the shot put.
A native of Strongville, Ohio, Pribula attended Strongville High School where he finished second in the state in the shot put as a senior. He was also a Nike Indoor Classic All-American in his final scholastic season and a two-time All-Pioneer Conference choice.
