Joe Furco served as a graduate assistant for offense for the Orange in 2015 after coaching the running backs and quarterbacks in 2013, and wide receivers in 2014 at Division III Loras College.Â

At Loras, he mentored several all-conference players, including All-Intercollegiate Athletic Conference receiver Danny Willis. In 2014, receiver Nate Even ranked fifth nationally in receiving yards and sixth in yards per game. He led the Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in four statistical categories. Overall, Loras set nine school records related to wide receiver play during Furco’s tenure.

A 2013 graduate of Elmhurst College, Furco was a four-year starter at quarterback and led the Bluejays to a Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship and the NCAA Division III playoffs in 2012. While playing for former SU offensive line coach Joe Adam, Furco set the Elmhurst career records for total offense (8,113 yards), passing yards (8,002), touchdown passes (67) and completions (655).

Furco earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Elmhurst in 2013.
