Freshmen Lead Orangewomen in 1-0 Victory Against Colgate

Freshmen Catie Arsenault (Keller, TX) and Erica Mastrogiacomo (Weymouth, MA) teamed up to
give the Syracuse University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory against the Red Raiders of
Colgate University this evening. With the win, the Orangewomen complete regular-season
competition at 13-6 overall.
Colgate goalkeeper Jenny Molina tried to clear the cross by Mastrogiacomo in the 62nd minute, but Arsenault connected posting the game-winner for Syracuse. The goal marked Arsenault's second this season after scoring her first-ever collegiate goal against Central Connecticut last week. Mastrogiacomo now has three assists in her freshman campaign.
The Orangewomen will return to action this Saturday when they travel to Piscataway, New Jersey to take on Rutgers University in the BIG EAST Quarterfinal. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
