Casey Sets Career-High Digs Mark in SU Win

Syracuse (13-6) swept the match in three games, 15-6, 15-5, 15-12. Robert Morris is 8-12 this season.
Casey also served two aces on the evening to lead the Orange servers. Senior rightside hitter Dana Fiume (Island Park, NY) and junior Jing Jing Wang (Beijing, China) each served one ace.
Junior Carol Munger (Canadaigua, NY) led Syracuse with 14 kils. Fiume followed with 12 kills and two solo blocks. Senior outside hitter Julie Nicholson (Horseheads, NY) led the Orange defense with four blocks, including a pair of solo stops.
Junior setter Noreen Carroll (LaGrange, IL) had 17 assists, while freshman Michaela Skelly (Simi Valley, CA) added 13 helpers to the cause.
Syracuse stays in Western Pennsylvania for a 2 p.m. Saturday match at BIG EAST rival Pittsburgh. The Panthers are 13-5 this season and tied with the Orangewomen for third place in the BIG EAST with a 1-1 conference mark.
