Fifth-year senior midfielder/forward Laura Fitzpatrick (Dalton, PA/Lackawanna Trail), sophomore midfielder Kristin Aronowicz (Exton, PA/Downingtown) and sophomore goalkeeper Audrey Latsko (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) all earned first-team regional All-America recognition.
Senior midfielder Colleen Cech (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) was selected to the regional All-American Second Team.
Fitzpatrick is the only player who had previously earned the distinction. In 1996 and 1998, Fitzpatrick received second-team regional All-America laurels. This season, Fitzpatrick made a remarkable comeback from her 1999 ACL knee surgery to be named to the All-BIG EAST First Team after registering 21 points (six goals, nine assists), the second-highest total on the team.
Aronowicz was named a first-team All-BIG EAST performer in 2000. She led the team in scoring with 26 points and a squad-best 11 goals.
Latsko posted the best goals against average (1.14) of any goalkeeper in the BIG EAST. She was selected to the All-BIG EAST Second Team after playing every minute in cage for the Orangewomen this season. Latsko recorded 164 saves (eighth in the nation) and her save percentage of .872 was the second-best mark in the country.
Cech was the most experienced player on the SU roster this season with 78 career games to her credit. She had a strong senior campaign as the team's fourth-leading scorer with a career-high 16 points. Cech led the Orangewomen with 10 assists.
