Eagles green and Syracuse orange. Add quarterback Donovan McNabb to the
mix and you have a generous contribution from the rising Eagles phenom
to his alma mater.
While the Eagles signal caller was preparing for the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, his parents, Sam and Wilma McNabb, accepted a plaque on his behalf from Syracuse University at the Carrier Dome.
Prior to kickoff of the Orangemen's clash with the Miami Hurricanes, the school acknowledged McNabb's $100,000 gift with a special pre-game check presentation. The donation, announced in early August, is earmarked for the Orangemen's new lockerroom at the Iocolano-Petty Football Complex.
