Anderson earned All-America honors in 1981 and currently ranks seventh on the SU all-time scoring leader list. He still holds the record for most field goals made in a season (18) and highest field goal percentage in a season (.947). Anderson has had 17 successful seasons in the NFL as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and currently, the Minnesota Vikings. He was selected to the all-AFC team in 1993 and was selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
