Brad Mauro asks Troy, what do you think was the hardest part about making the transition from highschool to college ball.
---
Learning the play book is one of the factors, and everyone who plays at this level was the best player on their high school team. Everyone who starts or plays on the Division 1 level was a good player in high school, so it's much more competitive.
Matt Van Ryn asks Troy, many fans question whether we'll take advantage of our talented wide receivers this year. How much of a "deep" passing game do you think will be installed into the offense, and how soon should we look for it?
It depends on the oppponent for the week, but a lot has been said about that group (of receivers) and we're excited to have them. If it's part of the game plan to get them the ball, we're going to try and do that. Those guys are going to step up and make some plays for us.
Ryan Mullen asks Troy what is up with the team not throwing the ball as much as it has in the past? Is that because you guys where playing against Buffalo and didn't want to show everything you guys have this year?
We had passes in our game plan, but with the way we were running the ball ... the way things were working, we didn't need to pass. There's an old saying that if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and that's what was happening on Saturday.
Madison Wilson asks Hey Troy, what's the feeling on the team about the year? Are you guys pumped?
The guys are excited. Guys seem to play with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder because of the feedback from last year. It'll be fun to see how we react to it this year.
Joel Bruce asks How much of an impact will Kyle Johnson's injury have on the offense this year honestly, if any at all?
Coming into the season, Kyle was a major part of our offense, and it's going to take more than one person to replace him. It's going to take efforts from a handful of people. It's going to be tough, but a lot of people will have to step up to fill his void.
jennifer zeldin asks Does football ever get in the way of academics, relationships, hanging with friends, work, etc?
When you come to school here you have to understand that our academics come first and the way they set it up, we have a great support staff. As far as social life, the people you're around on the team are the people you can count on to be your friends. They're the people you hang around with anyway, so it's not as much of a hassle as people think.
Jim Shortz asks How far can you throw the rock?
We've never really measured it, but in camp a couple of years ago it was 65 yards. In our game plan, I can throw the farthest pass that we've got, so they don't need me to go out and win any contests.
Beth Barres asks What do you do to relax on the weekends after the games?
Home games, my family comes up and I get to see them, and my girlfriend. I try to spend time with them, it's time to spend with them since I'm five hours away from Pittsburgh. It's time well needed. Other than that I like to sit back and watch the pro games and the college games, if we have a chance.
mike Roddy asks What other positions have you played in the past.
In high school I played defensive back, I played corner, and in ninth grade I played wide receiver. But aside from two games, I've played quarterback my whole life.
Richard Garvais asks What do you see as your greatest area of improvement since last year and how will you use this to impact this year's team?
I think the experience that I got last year has helped me immensely through camp. Most notably size and strength will help me with my confidence.
