
Syracuse University Announces 2001 Football Schedule

Syracuse University will open its 2001 football season in
Knoxville, TN against the Tennessee Volunteers on September 1. The
Orangemen will then host Central Florida, East Carolina and Auburn in
the Carrier Dome before kicking off the BIG EAST portion of their
schedule. In the league, SU is scheduled to host Temple, West Virginia
and Boston College and will play at Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Miami and
Rutgers. Eight of SU's eleven 2001 opponents played in bowl games to
close the 2000 season.
Game times and television information will be announced as soon as they are available.
