Syracuse Senior Guard Allen Griffin's Long Road to Basketball Stardom on this Week's 'Inside the Orange'

WEST SENECA, N.Y.- Although the script has not always gone as planned for Syracuse senior guard Allen Griffin, the Brooklyn, N.Y. native has made the most of his chances with the Orangemen. This Friday, January 19 at 5:30 p.m., "Inside the Orange" takes a look at Griffin's meteoric start on "The Hill" where he led all freshman in minutes played, through his stint coming off of the bench behind Jason Hart, to his senior season as one of the team leaders for the Orangemen. Empire Sports Network 's Josh Mora will serve as host and welcome the "Voice of the Orange" Dave Pasch and Syracuse men's basketball head coach Jim Boeheim for discussions on the team's effort versus West Virginia and their preparations for the Seton Hall Pirates.

Former Syracuse men's basketball standout Ryan Blackwell is the "Alumnus of the Week." As the first overall pick in the 2000 Continental Basketball Association draft, Blackwell has been an impressive performer off of the bench for the Gary Steelheads. His 14.5 point-per-game average was bolstered this past week with an 11-point performance against Rockford and a 14-point effort at Grand Rapids.
