Several Orange Track & Field Performers Among BIG EAST Leaders

Senior Alicia Crowd (Greenwich, NY) has recorded the fifth-fastest 400-meter dash time among BIG EAST competitors. Her 56.08 in the Orangewomen's season-opening meet qualified her for both the conference and ECAC indoor championships. Crowd is also ranked eighth in the 500-meter run.
Richard Polidore (Chino, CA) is one of two sophomores on the men's side to have recorded two top-eight marks in the league. Polidore's 22.13 clocking in the 200-meter dash is the fourth-best time in the BIG EAST thus far, while his long jump of 23' 2.75" also ranks fourth in the conference. Both marks met IC4A qualifying standards.
Sophomore Steve Bedard (Windsor, Ontario) is the highest-ranked member of the Orange. Bedard currently holds the second-best shot put performance with a personal best 52' 9.5". He is also ranked sixth in the weight throw with another personal-best effort of 53' 4.25".
Four other Orange field-event competitors have recorded top-five marks. Sophomore Tim Adrian (Moorpark, CA) is ranked third in the shot put (52' 0.5"), while classmate Samuel Prescod (Bridgetown, Barbados) is third in the high jump (6' 6"). Sophomore Joel Carusone (Slingerland, NY) ranks fifth in the pole vault (14' 9"), and junior Aprelle Watkins (Virginia Beach, VA) has the fifth-best triple women's triple jump (40' 10.25").
