The Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team will participate in a ‘fall ball’ event at George Mason University on Saturday, Oct. 20. Fifteen teams will compete in the all-day tournament, including eight nationally-ranked teams from last year. SU takes to the field against seven-time national champion Maryland, George Washington, Duke and George Mason.
The Orangewomen return 20 players from last year’s 10-5 squad, including BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and Brine/IWLCA Regional All-American Carrie Soults (Washington, DC/Georgetown Day). SU finished second in the inaugural season of the BIG EAST Conference and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. Syracuse lost to sixth-seeded North Carolina in the first round, 14-9
