
Orangewomen Return to the Head of the Charles

SYRACUSE, NY — The Syracuse University women's rowing team enters two boats in the world's largest regatta, the Head of the Charles on the Charles River in Boston, on Sunday, October 21.
Erin Gallagher (Upper Darby, PA/ Archbishop Pendergast) will cox the varsity eight. Two-time first-team All-American Jillian Kott (Round Hill, VA/ Kent School) is the stroke for the Orangewomen, while second-year captain, senior, Libby Graves (Holden, MA/ St, Mary's) is in the bow seat. Last year the Orangewomen finished fifth in the championship eight race, the best shwoing in school history at the Head of the Charles.
SU's four will be coxed by senior captain Heather DiLoreto (East Amherst, NY/ Mercyhurst Prep). Lesley Wolf (Syracuse, NY/ Henninger), the Orangewomen's Most Improved Rower in 2001, is the three seat.
