Orangewomen Tennis Players Compete In Philadelphia

SYRACUSE, NY - Four members of the Syracuse University women's tennis team will compete in the 2001 Omni Hotels Eastern Region Tennis Championship, in Philadelphia, from Friday, October 26 - Tuesday, October 30.

On Friday Masha Kabanova (Moscow, Russia/ School #528) and Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA/ Calabasas) will play in the singles qualifying draw. The final eight players from field of 32 competing in the singles draw will advance to Saturday's main draw.

The qualifying draw for doubles will also take place on Friday. Daniela Kaluskova (Prague, Czech/ Gym Budejovicka) and Zani Suttle (Roswell, GA/ Centennial) will be one of 16 doubles teams vying for four spots in the doubles main draw which begins on Saturday.

Kaluskova is already in the main draw for singles and Kabanova and Saedinia are set to compete in the main draw for doubles.
