Kabanova Enters Main Draw of Omni Hotel Eastern Region Championships

Kabanova, defeated Pennsylvania's Kate Williams 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 in her first match. Kabanova rallied to win her second match, defeating Lindy First of George Washington 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
In the doubles qualifying draw Daniela Kaluskova (Prague, Czech/ Gym Budejovicka) and Zani Suttle (Roswell, GA/ Centennial) won their first round match, 8-6, against Marshall's Meghan Skalsky and Danielle Hoch. In their second round match, Kaluskova and Suttle lost 9-8, 7-5 in the tie-breaker, to Harvard's Fleur Broughton and Ashley Hyotte.
Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA/ Calabasas) did not earn a spot in the main draw for singles. She lost her first match in the qualifying draw 6-1, 6-0 to Skalsky.
Kabanova and Kaluskova will compete in the opening round of the singles main draw on Saturday. Kabanova will team with Saedinia in the doubles main draw, also played on Saturday.
