
Moore and Record Lead Orangewomen in 55-45 Loss to St. John's

Syracuse (11-13, 5-9) held a 25-23 halftime advantage and opened the second half with an 8-0 scoring run. The Red Storm (8-17, 3-11) responded with a run of their own and took a three-point lead with 9:04 remaining. After Jaime James' (Plymouth, MA) three-pointer tied the score at 41, St. John's scored six straight points to take a 47-41 lead and seal the victory.
Moore scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Record had 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, helping the Orangewomen to a 46-33 advantage on the boards. Latasha Thompson led St. John's with 17 points.
The Orangewomen will play their final regular-season home game on Saturday when they host Miami at 2:00 p.m. at Manley Field House. Syracuse will honor its four seniors prior to the game. In addition, members of Syracuse's women's sports team will be honored at halftime and will be available for autographs after the game.
