senior Josko Vucetics (Split, Croatia) time of 1:44.43 in the 200
backstroke was tied for second in the nation with Harvards Michael Im.
Markus Rogan of Stanford has the nations top time in the 200 backstroke
at 1:43.71. In the 100 backstroke, Vucetics relay leadoff time of
48.10 is listed as the nations eighth fastest time.
Syracuse junior Djordje Filipovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia) is sixth in the nation with his times in both the 200 butterfly (1:45.70) and 200 individual medley (1:48.46). His school-record time of 48.14 in the 100 butterfly is the 12th fastest time in the nation this season.
Senior Ilia Mikhailov (Alta, Sweden) posted a time of 55.80 in the 100 breaststroke at last weeks BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championship. It is the 23rd fastest time in the country in that event this season.
Vucetic, Filipovic, Mikhailov and freshman Spencer Raymond (Idstein, Germany) teamed up to break the school record in the 200 medley relay at the BIG EAST Championship. Their time of 1:30.02 ranks 12th among the nations fastest times in that event. In the 400 medley relay, the foursome owns the 11th best time in the country (3:17.27).
