Alex Brown and Cindy Wolf Named 2000-01 BIG EAST/Aeropostale Scholar-Athletes

Brown has a double major in education and health and exercise science. This year Brown won the shot put event in a meet against Albany and Ottawa. Brown's personal bests include a 52'1/2" weight throw, an outdoor shot put best of 54'10", and an indoor shot put best of 53'10 1/4" from the 1999-2000 campaign.
Wolf, a public relations major, started for four years (81 games) at defense for the Orangewomen. For the last three seasons, Wolf served as a team captain. In her final season with the Orangewomen, Wolf recorded six points on two goals and two assists. Wolf, who tallied nine goals and 23 assists totaling 41 points in her career, ranks second on SU's career assists record list.
Brown and Wolf will each receive $2,000 toward graduate studies as 2001 Big East Scholar-Athletes.
