Orange Tennis Readies for Matches at Army, Seton Hall

The Orangewomen (5-7) are led by seniors Michelle Neveklovska (West Vancouver, British Columbia) and Zuzanna Borucka (Gdansk, Poland). Neveklovska has 33 wins this year, to pace the Orangewomen. Along with her doubles partner Zuzanna Borucka (Gdansk, Poland), they lead the squad with 18 doubles wins. Neveklovska is tied with junior Katie Thompson (Wesley Chapel, FL) for third place on the squad with 15 singles wins. Neveklovska remains fifth on the Syracuse all-time wins chart with 140 career victories. She is 12 wins from tying Stephanie Rice (1983-87) in fourth with 152. Borucka is tied for 15th place with Corinna Bode (1989-93) at 123 victories. With one win, she moves into a 14th-place tie with Carol Krause (1985-89). Assistant Coach Jana Strnadova-Bacova, who played at SU from 1992-96, is the all-time leader with 202.
Army is 10-4 this spring in dual-match competition. Melanie Bundoc leads the Black Knights with 37 wins this season, including 23 in singles competition. She will compete at No. 5 singles for Army. Her doubles patner, Ali Rohr, is 13-11 in singles competition this spring. Rohr has a 10-9 record in dual matches and will play at the third singles slot. When paired, they form Army's most successful doubles team this season with 14 wins.
Seton Hall takes a 3-9 record into competition this weekend. The Pirates are led by Kim Barfuss's seven singles wins in dual match competition. Barfuss, who competes at number two singles, is trailed by Nicole Cercone's six dual match wins in singles action. Cercone teams with Jasmine Wolcott to form SHU's top doubles team. They have collected six doubles wins this season.
