The SU-UConn Series
Syracuse has a 42-25 advantage over Connecticut in the all-time series,
including a 65-60 triumph in the Carrier Dome on February 19. In BIG
EAST Conference tournament play, the Huskies are up 4-2 and have won the
last four pairings. Connecticut has bumped Syracuse from the conference
tournament in three of the last five years.
Honors:
Junior forward Preston Shumpert earned first team recognition and senior
forward Damone Brown second team honors from the BIG EAST Conference.
The voting was done by the league head coaches. Shumpert and Brown also
received National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) first team
All-District 2 laurels this week.
