Stacey Brown (Scotia, NY) put the Orangewomen on the board just over six minutes in to start a three-goal run for SU. Boston University answered with two goals of their own before Syracuse tallied another hat trick to take the 6-2 lead with 5:44 to play in the first half. BU posted two more goals, before Leigh-Ann Zimmer (Farmingdale, NY) found Brady for her third goal of the game and the 8-4 halftime lead.
The Terriers struck first in the second half, scoring two goals before Brady posted her fourth and fifth goals of the game. Carrie Soults (Washington, DC) found Jessica Trombley (Kueka Park, NY) for SU's 11th goal in the 45th minute which Brady followed with a free position goal at the 13:46 mark. A late three-goal rally was not enough for the Terriers and Syracuse took the 12-9 victory.
Tegan Leonard (Chsterfield, MA) had six saves in net as the Orangewomen got their second victory against a ranked opponent this season. Syracuse will travel to Virginia Tech on April 28 for a 1 p.m. game.
