#8 Syracuse Takes Down #13 Georgetown in Return to the Dome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 8 Syracuse (8-2) returned to the JMA Wireless Dome for the first time in over a month and used a dominant first half to take down No. 13 Georgetown (3-4) 18-12.

After falling behind 3-1 early in the contest, the Orange went on an 11-1 run to open up an insurmountable lead.

Syracuse was led by Joey Spallina's six points on two goals and four assists. Michael Leo was the Orange's leading goal scorer, posting five in the victory to match a season-best. Finn Thomson logged four points of his own, adding an assist to his hat trick. Wyatt Hottle and Payton Anderson also scored a pair of goals in the triumph.

Jimmy McCool was steady in cage, matching a season-high with 17 saves and a .586 save percentage.

Syracuse is back home at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, March 28 when they take on Duke at 2 p.m. The contest with the Blue Devils is set to air on ESPNU.
