
Five Orangewomen Earn All-BIG EAST Honors:

Junior Carrie Soults (Washington, DC) was named Midfielder of the Year. Soults was instumental in Syracuse's 10-4 record this season providing 30 goals, nine assists and 26 groundballs to the Orange effort. She was a Street & Smith's preseason All-America selection and SU's leading scorer for its first 12 contests. In addition, Soults earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors.
Other first team honorees included senior midfielder Stacey Brown (Scotia, NY) and defender Katy Mueller (Huntington, NY). Both Brown and Mueller have been consitent contributors for Syracuse. Brown led the team with 30 draw controls, while also posting ten goals and four assists this season. Mueller posted her first goal of the season in Saturday's contest with Notre Dame. She has also tallied 29 groundballs for the Orangewomen.
Graduate student Lauren Brady (Acton, MA) and freshman Leigh-Ann Zimmer (Farmingdale, NY) were named to the All-BIG EAST second team. Brady picked up a team-high 33 groundballs this season. She also posted 19 goals and three assists for Syracuse. Zimmer finished the regular-season at the top of the Orange scoring list with 33 goals and 13 assists, including 16 goals and six assists in BIG EAST matches.
