This is the second consecutive year that Kott has garnered first-team All-American honors. She is the only Orangewoman in SU rowing history to be selected as a first-team All-American. Kott, who served as the stroke for the Orange, placed sixth at the CRASH-B's, the world' largest indoor rowing competition, in February. Kott was also named first-team Mid-Atlantic Region in May.
Modolo, who was the seventh seat in the varsity eight boat, makes the All-American second-team for the second year in a row. Like Kott, Modolo was named first-team Mid-Atlantic Region in May. Modolo finished out her college career as the captain for the fastest varsity eight in Syracuse history.
In 2001 the Orangewomen finished sixth at the NCAA Rowing Championships,
along with winning the inaugural BIG EAST Rowing Challenge, the Orange
Challenge Cup and the Orange Plus Cup.
