A second-team all-conference performer as a junior, Stalker started all 21 of the Orangewomen's games. She recorded two assists from her defensive position. Stalker was also a third-team All-Northeast Region pick in 2000.
The league also announced its 2001 preseason coaches' poll. The Orangewomen have been picked to finish third in the BIG EAST Northeast Division. Syracuse finished third a year ago behind Connecticut and Boston College. The Huskies were picked to repeat as division champions by the coaches. Defending BIG EAST champion Notre Dame was a unanimous pick to win the league's Mid-Atlantic Division.
Syracuse returns eight starters from its 2000 team that finished with a 14-7 overall record and a 3-2 league mark. The Orangewomen open the 2001 campaign at home versus New Mexico on September 1.
