SU-Auburn Football Gametime Set for 7:45 p.m.

Senior defensive end and BIG EAST co-Defensive Player of the Week Dwight Freeney and his Syracuse teammates will take the field against Auburn University at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, a gametime that was made official on Monday, Sept. 10. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN as the national primetime game. Times for future games will be announced as soon as they are available.
Freeney earned the BIG EAST honor for his performance in SU's 21-10 victory against Central Florida. He had two sacks, seven tackles, including four for a loss of yardage, seven quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. He has six sacks in three games in 2001.
