Orangemen Prepare for East Carolina

Syracuse will try to avenge last season's loss to East Carolina when it hosts the Pirates on Saturday at Noon at the Carrier Dome. Sophomore R.J. Anderson will make his first start of the season at quarterback in Saturday's game.
Senior Dwight Freeney continued his tormenting of opposing quarterbacks against Central Florida en route to earning the BIG EAST co-Defensive Player of the Week Award. He had two sacks, seven solo tackles, including four for a loss of 28 yards, seven quarterback hurries and one forced fumble in SU's victory against UCF.
SU is hosting Band Day on Saturday. Four area high school bands will perform with the Syracuse University Marching Band at halftime of the Syracuse-East Carolina contest.
