Carroll Named ECAC Volleyball Division I Player of the Week

Syracuse volleyball player Noreen Carroll (La Grange, IL/Lyons Township) was named ECAC Volleyball Division I Player of the Week for the week of September 10.
Carroll, a senior co-captain, was nominated for the ECAC award after earning BIG EAST Player of the Week honors on September 10. The setter was named MVP of the War Eagle Tournament held at Auburn University on September 8-9, leading SU to a 2-1 record.
In the 3-0 win against Auburn, Carroll was one kill short of a triple-double (9 kills, 28 assists, 16 digs), and the nine kills were a new career high. In the three tournament matches, she registered 17 kills, 35 digs, 82 assists, eight block assists and three service aces. Among BIG EAST conference leaders, Carroll is seventh in assists per game with 10.12.
Syracuse (4-3) returns to action on Wednesday, September 19 when it faces Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. at Manley Field House.
