Orr Set to Receive Hall of Fame Award at Sports Night II
1/16/2002 9:10:45 AM | Men's Basketball
During his Syracuse career from 1977 through 1980 Orr teamed with Roosevelt Bouie to form the "Louie and Bouie Show," one of the top basketball duos in the country. Orr still ranks among SU's career leaders in scoring and rebounding. After his stellar SU career, Orr played professionally for the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks during an eight year NBA tenure.
The Sports Night II celebration will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:30 followed by dinner at 7:30. Ian Eagle '90, sportscaster and play-by-play voice of the New Jersey Nets, and Don McPherson '88, former SU standout quarterback, will serve as the Masters of Ceremonies. Syracuse University head coaches Jim Boeheim, Paul Pasqualoni, John Desko and Marianna Freeman will also be in attendance to talk about their respective teams.
The cost for the evening is $80 per person. If you are interested in attending or becoming a sponsor, please contact Jane Henn at 212-826-6504 or sulubin@syr.edu.
