Tennis Opens Season At Colgate

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse University women's tennis team opens its spring season on the road at Colgate, in Hamilton, N.Y., on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
Syracuse has eight letter winners returning from the 2000-01 campaign. Junior Masha Kabanova (Moscow Russia/School #528) posted a 6-4 record in the fall tournaments. Freshman Kristine Bech Holte (Oslo, Norway/ Fagerborg vgs.) went 6-3 in the fall.
The Orangewomen went 8-10 last year and finished fifth in the BIG EAST Championship.
