
Season Officially Underway!

Veteran coach Jim Boeheim enters his 27th season at the helm with a team made up of seven returning letter winners and a number of high-profile newcomers.
Leading the veterans is senior Kueth Duany, a senior and returning starter. Another first-string performer who is back with the squad is sophomore center Craig Forth. Additional letterwinners from a year ago include junior Jeremy McNeil, sophomores Josh Pace> and Hakim Warrick, and walk-ons Andrew Kouwe and Ronneil Herron.
The newcomers include freshman forward Carmelo Anthony a McDonald's All-American from Oak Hill Academy (Va.). He's joined by rookies Gerry McNamara from Bishop Hannan in Pennsylvania, a guard, forward Matt Gorman from Watertown, N.Y., and guard Billy Edelin, also from Oak Hill Academy.
The Orangemen have an exhibition game on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Carrier Dome. The season opener is Thursday, Nov. 14 against Memphis in the AT&T Wireless Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Madison Square Garden.
