Results From Cornell's John Reif Memorial Run

ITHACA, N.Y. - The men's and women's cross country teams completed their competition at Cornell University's John Reif Memorial Run in rainy conditions Friday afternoon. Cornell runners won all three events.
The Orangewomen's top competitor was senior Maria Varela, who ran the 5,000 meter course in a third-place time of 19:12. In the men's 5K, junior Mike Czabaj was the Orangemen's top finisher, coming in seventh with a time of 18:25. In the five mile men's race, junior Karl Baum finished 19th with a time of 30:09.
Both the Orangemen and Orangewomen will spend the week in preparation for the BIG EAST Championships, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 1 at Franklin Park in Boston. The men's 8K race will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the women's 6K will start at 12:20 p.m.
