Hokies Defeat Orangewomen, 3-0

BLACKSBURG, VA - The Virginia Tech women’s volleyball team defeated Syracuse, 3-0, on Friday night in Cassell Coliseum.
The Hokies (19-10, 9-3 BIG EAST) hit .297 as a team, compared to SU’s .051 attack percentage. Virginia Tech also outblocked SU, 8 to 4.
Sophomore Morgan Jones (Malad, ID/Malad) led Syracuse (19-11, 5-7 BIG EAST) with eight kills. Freshman Aila Dommestrup (Ottawa, Ontario/Sir Robert Borden) dished out 20 assists and recorded four kills on six attempts for a .667 attack percentage.
Ana Lang led the Hokies with 16 kills and 17 digs. Melissa Markowski dished out 38 assists in posted four total blocks in the win.
Syracuse returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 17 when it faces Miami at 2 p.m.
