Orangemen Host BIG EAST Foe Virginia Tech

The Syracuse Orangemen put their two-game winning streak on the line when they take on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday at 3:30 in the Carrier Dome. Saturday is also Dome Donation Day. The Salvation Army will be collecting canned food items at various locations outside the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse leads the series vesus Virginia Tech, 8-7. The Orangemen defeated Virginia Tech, 22-14, last season in Blacksburg, VA. The Hokies won the last meeting in the Dome, 22-14.

The Orangemen are coming off a 38-35 come-from-behind victory at Central Florida. Sophomore running back Walter Reyes (Struthers, Ohio) recorded his fourth 100-yard game with a career-best 130 yards on 27 carries.

Fans attending Saturday's game are encouraged to drop off canned food items for the Salvation Army. Dome Donation Day is the area's largest single-day canned food drive. All collected food items will be distributed to eligible low-income families during the Christmas Bureau Distribution Day on December 21 at the OnCenter.
