
SU Ready To Host Albany

Albany is coming off a 78-65 loss to Quinnipiac. The Great Danes’ two wins of the season have come against Army (47-43) and Robert Morris (69-67). Freshman guard Jamar Wilson leads Albany with averages of 14.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. First-year forward Levi Levine ranks second on the squad, averaging 13.1 points and 4.4 boards per outing.
A pair of freshmen, Carmelo Anthony and Gerry McNamara, are leading the Orangemen this season. Anthony leads the team with averages of 24.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. McNamara is averaging 14.3 points per contest. He was named the BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week for his 25-point, 10-assist performance against Georgia Tech on Dec. 21. Sophomore Hakim Warrick and senior Kueth Duany are also averaging double-figures in points, with 14.7 and 14.3, respectively.
Fans can listen to the game in the Syracuse area on the SU Radio Network, 1260 AM. Voice of the Orange Mark Johnson will handle the play-by-play duties, while Matt Park will provide color commentary. The game will also be televised on tape delay on Time Warner Cable channel 13.
