Posey Selected as a Scholar-Athlete Award Winner by the BIG EAST and Aeropostale

Senior Zack Posey (Redmond, Wash./Redmond) of the Syracuse University swimming and diving team has been selected as a 2001-02 BIG EAST/Aeropostale Male Scholar-Athlete Award winner. As such, he will receive a $2,000 stipend for his graduate studies.
Posey, a biochemistry major at Syracuse, has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his seven semesters and most recently for the Fall 2001 semester. He is a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
Aeropostale Stores is the official apparel of BIG EAST Championships and is the sponsor of the Conference's Post Graduate Student-Athlete Scholarship Program. This year, Aeropostale will award 31 scholarships to BIG EAST Conference student-athletes to assist in their pursuit of graduate or professional studies.
The Syracuse swimming and diving team will participate in the 2002 BIG EAST Championships, February 21-23, at the Goodwill Aquatics Center in Uniondale, N.Y.
