Rowers Earn Team Grade Point Average Award

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse University women's rowing team achieved the highest grade point average of any team at SU for the 2000-01 academic year. The 48 rowers combined for an overall GPA of 3.314 to garner the Syracuse University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Team Grade Point Average Award.
Last season 30 rowers were named BIG EAST Academic All-Stars and 32 made the Syracuse University Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Libby Graves (Holden, Mass./St. Mark's HS), Jillian Kott (Round Hill, Va./Kent School) and Rachael Kirchhoff (Juneau, Alaska/Juneau-Douglas) were named to the 2001 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
