This was a goal we set at the beginning of the year. Now we are in the process of applying for recognition at the national level through the American Volleyball Coaches Association, which honors the academic achievements of NCAA Division I volleyball programs."
Seven Syracuse University women's volleyball players were named to the Fall 2001 Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Senior setter Noreen Carroll (La Grange, IL/Lyons Township) was named to the 2001 Verizon Academic All-District I team.
