
Latsko Selected as BIG EAST co-Defensive Player of the Week

Senior goalkeeper Audrey Latsko (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) of the Syracuse University field hockey team has been selected as the BIG EAST co-Defensive Player of the Week. Boston College's Kerri Doherty shared the honor with Latsko.
Latsko recorded two shutouts as the Orangewomen posted a 2-1 record last week. She turned away three shots in a 1-0 overtime victory against No. 16 Ohio State. Her other shutout came against Albany, as she recorded one save in a 3-0 win. Against No. 8 Michigan State, the senior made 13 saves. Latsko is third on the career shutout list at Syracuse with 15.5.
The Orangewomen are 3-2 on the season. They host No. 12-ranked Penn State at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Latsko has started in all five games for SU. She is the owner of a 1.71 goals against average and an .800 save percentage.
