Anthony Earns Honor Again

PROVIDENCE, RI Ð Freshman forward Carmelo Anthony was named Co-Rookie of the Week by the BIG EAST Conference on Monday, Jan. 13. It is the fifth time he has received the recognition this season.
Anthony helped SU to victories at Seton Hall and home against Boston College last week. In the win against the Pirates, Anthony scored 18 points. He had 24 points and 10 rebounds versus the Eagles.
The Syracuse record for number of Rookie of the Week honors in one season is six, by Lawrence Moten from the 1991-92 season. Georgetown's Allen Iverson, who was tabbed nine times in 1994-95, owns the conference standard.
Anthony is averaging 24.2 points and 9.5 rebounds an outing.
The Orangemen host Missouri on Jan. 13 at 7:00 p.m.
