BIG EAST Rookie of the Week? It's Anthony Again!

PROVIDENCE, RI -- Syracuse freshman Carmelo Anthony was named BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week on January 6, marking the fourth time he has earned the recognition this season.
In his only outing last week, Anthony scored 23 points and had a career-high 14 rebounds in SU's 87-69 victory against Canisius.
He currrently leads the BIG EAST in scoring average (24.9) and ranks third in rebound average (10.0).
Anthony was also selected BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on Nov. 25, Dec. 30, and Jan. 6. He was a co-recipient on Dec. 16.
Syracuse opens the BIG EAST portion of its schedule on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Seton Hall.
