Orangewomen To Compete At ITA Regional

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Freshman Ashley Lipton will compete at singles and two Orangewomen pairs will compete at doubles at the 2003 ITA East Regional in Blacksburg, Va., beginning on Friday.
Lipton will pair with classmate Carolina Huignard in the doubles bracket, and senior Trine Lise Juliussen and sophomore Wei-Ming Leong will also compete at doubles.
"This will be a true, tough test for a young team," head coach Mac Gifford said. "They're looking forward to proving themselves against the best in the East."
Lipton will compete against Kristen Harris of Howard at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Huignard and Lipton will take on Alena Mitackova and Kristyna Pesatova of Hampton at 5:00 p.m., and Juliussen and Leong will play Emily Mowery and Lingda Yang of William and Mary, who are ranked in the top 16 in the tournament, at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
