Orangemen Take on No. 14 Miami on Saturday

The Syracuse football Orangemen face No. 14/14 Miami on Saturday in the Orange Bowl. Kickoff is set for Noon. With a 41-7 victory against Temple last Saturday, the Orangemen improved their record to 5-3 overall, 2-2 in the BIG EAST. Miami, which has lost two straight, is 7-2 overall mark and 3-1 in conference play.

Head coach Paul Pasqualoni led the Orangemen to the 100th victory of his SU career against Temple. During his 13 seasons at Syracuse, Pasqualoni has a 100-50-1 record. He is just the second coach in SU history to win 100 games.

Junior Walter Reyes scored two rushing touchdowns against Temple, giving him a Carrier Dome-record 21 rushing scores. The previous mark was 20 set by current Indianapolis Colts running back James Mungro (1998-2001).

Saturday's game will be televised on ESPN Regional. Dave Sims and John Congemi will call the action and Greg Roberts will provide sideline reports.

The game will also be broadcast on the Syracuse University Radio Network. "Voice of the Orange" Mark Johnson provides the play-by-play and Dick MacPherson is the color analyst. Matt Patt is the sideline reporter and hosts the pre- and post-game shows.
