Bitok and Folmsbee Lead SU at NCAA Regional

Bitok's time in the 10K race of 31:49 was less than two minutes off the pace of the winner, Richard Kiplagat of Iona, who finished in 29:50. The Gaels won the team title with 58 points. SU finished with 461 points. Sophomore Chris Muldoon was Syracuse's second finisher, coming in 77th with a time of 32:16. Freshman David Wishart came in 82nd with a time of 32:28, and classmate Matt Lawson finished 108th in a time of 33:04. Junior Brian McNeil rounded out SU's top five, coming in 144th with a time of 33:43.
Folmsbee's time was 22:47 in the 6K event. Kim Smith of Providence won the women's title with a time of 20:23, leading the Friars to the team championship with 49 points. SU compiled 566 points. Senior Lauren Rich finished 82nd with a time of 23:11, and junior Christine Ramsey finished 91st and posted a time of 23:20. Freshman Shelby Perkins finished in 24:12, good for 160th place, and sophomore Gabby Charbonneau came in 177th with a time of 24:31.
SU wraps up its season at the ECAC and IC4A Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.
