Lombard and Sola Earn Field Hockey All-Region Honors

Sophomores Joanne Lombard and Michelle Sola of the SU field hockey team were named to the 2003 STX/NFHCA Division I All-Mideast Region Team. Lombard earned a spot on the first team, while Sola was selected to the second team. Both players received second-team All-BIG EAST accolades this year.
Lombard led the team in scoring with a career-high 19 points (nine goals). Sola, the team's starting sweeper, finished in a tie for third on the team in scoring with 16 points (seven goals).
The Orangewomen posted an overall record of 7-11. They finished fifth in the BIG EAST Conference with a 1-4 mark.
