
Orangemen Prepare for Scarlet Knights

The football Orangemen play their final BIG EAST Conference game of the season on Saturday when they take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in New Brunswick, N.J. Kickoff is set for Noon. Syracuse enters the game with a 5-5 overall record and a 2-4 mark in conference play, while Rutgers is 4-7 overall, 1-5 in the BIG EAST.
Junior Walter Reyes increased his career rushing total to 2,392 yards with his 63-yard effort against West Virginia. He moved into eighth place on SU's career rushing list, surpassing 1961 Heisman Trophy winner Ernie Davis, who rushed for 2,386 yards during his tenure at Syracuse.
Senior R.J. Anderson turned in his the passing game of his career against West Virginia, completing 23-of-36 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns. He accounted for 367 of SU's 499 yards of total offense.
Saturday's game will be broadcast on the Syracuse University Radio Network. "Voice of the Orange" Mark Johnson provides the play-by-play, and Dick MacPherson is the color analyst.
