
Powell Named Inside Lacrosse/Warrior Division I Player of the Week

Junior attackman Michael Powell (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) was named the Inside Lacrosse/Warrior Division I National Player of the Week on March 17. Powell matched his career-high for points in a game with eight against No. 2-ranked Johns Hopkins last Saturday. He scored four goals and had four assists in the Orangemen's 15-14 victory.
In related news, Syracuse moved up one spot to No. 3 in this week's USILA/STX Division I Coaches Poll. Virginia (5-0) remained at No. 1 with eight first-place votes and 197 points. Maryland (4-0) is No. 2 with two first-place votes and 185 points. Syracuse (3-1) is No. 3 with 180 points.
