
Orangewomen Return Home For Two Games This Weekend

SYRACUSE, NY - Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome for two homes games this weekend against Boston College and Massachusetts. The Orangewomen (2-2, 1-1 BIG EAST) face BIG EAST opponent BC on Friday at 7 p.m. and Masschusetts on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Syracuse is a combined 10-0 in the all-time series against Boston College (5-0) and Massachusetts (5-0). The Orangewomen defeated BC, 10-9, and UMass, 13-5, on the road last season. Boston College is 1-2 overall this season and 0-1 in the BIG EAST with a loss last weekend to Notre Dame.
The Orangewomen moved down one spot to No. 8 in the IWLCA March 17 poll after spending two weeks at No. 7. SU is 1-2 this season against ranked opponents. Currently, SU has five future opponents that are ranked in the top 20, including No. 1 Loyola.
The Orangewomen own a record of 28-7 (.800) in five-plus years in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse currently holds a nine-game winning streak in the Dome, dating back to March 22, 2002. Six of the seven losses were to top 10 teams.
With her two goals against Georgetown, junior Leigh-Ann Zimmer has scored at least one goal in the last 27 games, a streak going back to the 2001 season. Zimmer has scored at least one point in the last 32 games. She has been held pointless only twice in her career.
