
Orangewomen Shut Out Seton Hall, 7-0

In singles, senior Daniela Kaluskova won at No. 1, 8-4, and classmates Masha Kabanova and Shervin Saedinia won at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, in straight sets. Sophomore Kristine Bech Holte lost just one game in her No. 5 victory, defeating Lara Spagnuolo, 6-1, 6-0. Juniors Trine Lise Juliussen and Jessica Schlosser each needed three sets to defeat their No. 4 and No. 6 opponents.
The Orangewomen took each match in their strong area, doubles. Juliussen and freshman Wei-Ming Leong won at No. 3, 8-2; Holte and Kaluskova won at No. 2, 8-6; and Kabanova and Saedinia were victorious at No. 1, 9-7.
With her two wins, Saedinia moved into sole possession of seventh place on SU’s career wins list with 138 victories. Kabanova moved within four victories of the fifth-place spot with 145 career wins.
Syracuse continues conference play at Rutgers on Sunday, March 30. The teams will begin warm-ups at 10:00 a.m. and competition will begin at 11:00 a.m.
