McDonough Swims at ConocoPhillips National Swimming Championship

Junior Elyse McDonough (Delmar, N.Y.) swam a personal-best time in the 200-meter butterfly preliminaries at the ConocoPhillips National Swimming Championship in Indianapolis on April 2. Her time of 2:19.39 placed her 41st out of 83 swimmers.

The Championship will continue through Saturday, April 5. Mike Anstrom (Springfield, Va.), Ryan Caponera (Latham, N.Y.), Rob Persico (Fulton, Md.) and Spencer Raymond (Idstein, Germany) will swim in the 400-meter freestyle relay on Thursday. Friday's events feature Raymond in the 100-meter breaststroke and McDonough in the 100-meter butterfly. On Saturday, McDonough will swim the 200-meter individual medley, Raymond will swim the 50-meter freestyle and the relay team will compete again in the 400-meter medley relay.
